Dr. Edward Peters

Dr. Edward Peters joined Sacred Heart Major Seminary in 2005 with his appointment to the Edmund Cardinal Szoka Chair.


Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Peters went to Saint Louis University on a musicianship award, majoring in Political Science (B.A. 1979). He became active in pro-life activities and Catholic discussion groups and sang in the schola cantorum of Msgr. Martin Hellriegel's renowned Holy Cross Parish in North St. Louis. Peters then attended the University of Missouri at Columbia School of Law where he took his J.D.

Rev. Msgr. Robert McClory

Monsignor Robert J. McClory is the Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia of the Archdiocese of Detroit.  In that capacity, he serves as the “Chief of Staff” for Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron in coordinating the central offices of the Archdiocese.   He also serves as the parish priest of Presentation Our Lady of Victory Parish in Detroit, in conjunction with the Pastoral Administrator, Deacon Hubert Sanders.

Dr. Martin received his BA from the University of Notre Dame in Philosophy and did Graduate work on a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship in Philosophy at Princeton University.

Dr. Mark S. Latkovic

A Brief Curriculum Vitae

           Dr. Mark S. Latkovic (b. 11/2/63) is Professor of Moral and Systematic Theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, MI where he has taught since July 1990 and where he was also Associate Dean of Studies from September 1999 until January 2000 and interim Dean of Studies from February 2000 until August 2000.  He was made a full professor in March 2003.  Dr. Latkovic graduated from the Brothers of Holy Cross- run St.
